cubes24 Abbreviation List

By default AnyMem will consider full stop as a symbol which ends a segment. However, full stop can also be used in abbreviations, which may cause invalid segmentation. To avoid this, you can add abbreviations to translation memory, so that they are recognized in the text and do not affect normal segmentation.

Example:

Amendments, suggested by Ms. Constantine, i.e. items 57-th through 59-th, item 65, etc. will be discussed tomorrow.

In this case such abbreviations as Ms., i.e., etc. must be added to AnyMem abbreviations list to prevent unnecessary segmentation of this sentence.

arrowTo add an abbreviation:

On the Memory menu click Open.
Browse for translation memory MEM file which must be configured.
On the Memory menu click Configure.
Click Abbreviations section.
Click New button.
