cubes24 Ordinal Followers

Top  Previous  Next

Ordinal followers are words which normally follow numbers in text. In some cases numbers in the text can be followed by full stop (.) and an ordinal noun which may cause improper segmentation. Adding these ordinal nouns as ordinal followers will ensure correct segmentation of text by AnyMem.

Example:

In some languages, like German, full stop (.) can follow numbers in the text of one sentence. The following sentence is a single segment:

Workshop wird ein 3. Mal am 16. April von 10:00-11:00 Uhr wiederholt.

If you add words Mal and April (and other month names) as ordinal followers, such sentences will be segmented correctly.
